One such actor who fought and proved his talent and still contributing to cinema today is Amitabh Bachchan. He is one of the few actors who is acting for millennium. He has so many fan-made names among which the “Shahensha of Bollywood”, ”Stars of the millennium”, and “Big B” are famous one. Amitabh Bachchan was born on 11th October 1942,in Allahabad, Utter Pradesh, India. Amitabh did his graduation at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi. Amitabh’s decision to become an actor was supported by his family and a part of this decision influenced by his mother Teji. She always used to tell that Amitabh should Take the Centre Stage. But Film makers rejected him for being 6 feet 3 inches and had no confidence in him. He auditioned for a voice test at All India Radio but was rejected. In 1969 when he decided to give it up he got his first break with the movie Saat Hindustani for which he even won the national award but to get another role he had to struggle for another two years and then came Anand, Zanjeer which changed his life forever. His top films are Sholay, Deewaar, Coolie, Don, Pink and more. Amitabh Bachchan married actress Jaya Bhaduri in 1973 when he was at the peak of his career. The couple has two children namely daughter Shweta Bachchan who is married to the businessman Nikhil Nanda and son Abhishek Bachchan who was married beautiful actress Aishwarya Rai. Bachchan started his production company named Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited (ABCL). His first film “Tere mere Sapne” become a moderate success. ABCL become main contributor to 1996 Miss World Pragement, Bangalore but lost millions. Because of its continuous failures, the company eventually collapsed. The first Angry Young Man of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan went through multiple phases of extreme physical and financial challenges, which almost broke him to shatters. In such circumstances and after so many downfalls, anyone can lose strength to move on but he came back and made a fresh start through Kaun Banega Crorepati and film Mohabbatein. Bachchan again gained his stardom by giving back to back hits. He earned additional Filmfare and International Film Award nominated for his work on film like Baghban, Khakee, Paa. His movies Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Black, Bhoothnath, Bhoothnath Returns re-established his acting career. Amitabh once also mentioned, “Bad luck either destroys you or makes you the man or woman you really are”. His hard work and determination is what worked for him. In his earlier days where he was rejected due to his height and voice today they have become the pillars of his immense success and glory.
